Shrijana Ghising’s sporting journey now carries two powerful parts of her identity: the country where she was born and the country she now represents.
The para taekwondo athlete, originally from Makwanpur in Nepal, became an Australian citizen in June 2026 and represented Australia in international competition the following month.
In an SBS Nepali interview, Ghising spoke about her ambition to reach the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games wearing the green and gold.
