Australia Student Visa Now Costs From A$2,500: What Nepali Applicants Need to Know
Student visa applicants should check the latest official Australian Government requirements and charges before lodging an application.

Australia’s Student visa (subclass 500) application charge is now from AUD2,500, following a change effective from 1 July 2026.

The Australian Department of Home Affairs advises that concessions apply only in limited circumstances and applicants should use the official Visa Pricing Estimator to confirm the cost that applies to their individual application.

For Nepali students and families planning to study in Australia, the visa application charge should now be included when budgeting alongside tuition fees, Overseas Student Health Cover, travel expenses and living costs.

The visa application charge is only one part of the application process and paying the fee does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. Applicants should always check the latest requirements directly with the Department of Home Affairs before lodging an application.
